Technical Specifications of Pedal Wiring

Standard two-pedal wiring - "2 Pedal Game Port Control"

The 15 pin D type male plug must be wired as follows:
  1. Pins 1, 3 and 6 must be connected to each other.
  2. A pedal switch between 2 and 4 is Reverse.
  3. A pedal switch between pins 5 and 7 is play (or stop or forward).

Standard three-pedal wiring - "3 Pedal Game Port Control"

The 15 pin D type male plug must be wired as follows:
  1. Pins 1, 3 and 6 must be connected to each other.
  2. A pedal switch between 2 and 4 is Reverse.
  3. A pedal switch between pins 5 and 7 is fast-forward.
  4. A pedal switch between pins 10 and 5 is play.

Standard two-pedal wiring - "2 Pedal Serial Port Control"

Wire the 9 pin D type plug as follows:
  1. Ground - Pin 4
  2. Play / Forward - Pin 1
  3. Rewind - Pin 6

Standard three-pedal wiring - "3 Pedal Serial Port Control"

Wire the 9 pin D type plug as follows:
  1. Ground - Pin 4
  2. Play - Pin 1
  3. Rewind - Pin 6
  4. Forward - Pin 9 (RING) or Pin 8 (CTS).
