I have a dictation audio file with a very loud hiss in the background. Can WavePad help me fix this?

Yes, Wavepad can remove the hiss from the audio file.

1. Click the Cleanup button on the Effects tab toolbar
2. Select Noise reduction from the submenu
3. Select Multi-band Noise Gating.. from the Noise reduction submenu
4. Select the Remove Hum and Hiss preset
5. Click OK
