Can Express Talk work with or compatible with the 3CX PBX server?

Yes; your server must be properly installed and configured (make sure all the appropriate config files are in place; installing asterisk-config puts all the appropriate default files in place) Also, make sure that firewalls and routers are properly configured. If the server is restarted (or any changes are applied), Express Talk should be restarted. The default settings provided by the asterisk-gui (a separate package from asterisk server which is usually not installed by default; see asterisk documentation for details on how to install asterisk-gui with your distribution) work fine, after setting the correct extension and password. The default behavior of using the extension # as the MAC address works fine).
