Streaming audio slows down when trying to record it using SoundTap

This problem occurs when multiple, incompatible audio sources try to access the same output at the same time.   To prevent it, avoid starting playback from SoundTap without first stopping all other sources of audio.

Further, ensure that the sound output device in sound source applications such as Media Player is set to DirectSound: SoundTap Recorder, and in SoundTap itself, the sound output device is set to the actual soundcard installed in the PC.
