Running under Linux

There are two options for running Express Scribe on the Linux operating system.

Option 1: Native Linux Exe

This is a compiled binary program made for Linux. The advantage is it does not require Wine. The disadvantage is some esoteric proprietary formats cannot be supported.

If you install the Windows Emulator Wine and then run the Windows version of Express Scribe. The advantage of this is that it supports more formats. The disadvantage is that you need to install Wine.
