VIS Setup Guide
ExpressDictate v3.07 or later supports the Voice Input Station but still requires a driver to be downloaded and installed on your PC.
Setup
Setting up the Voice Input Station (VIS) for Express Dictate is easy. Just follow the instructions below.
- Download and install Express Dictate v3.07 or later.
- Connect the VIS to a USB Port on your PC (see diagram).
- In Express Dictate go to Settings, then choose the Devices Tab, then USB or Foot pedal Control and choose the Voice Input Station.
- Click on Test Controller, click 'OK' (to close message), click 'OK' (to close Settings).
- The VIS should then attempt to download an executable vis.exe (which your firewall, if you have one, may be blocking).
- Once this vis.exe has been downloaded you are ready to go!
